March 29 - April 4. I will capitalize highlights, which means the shows.
The plane ride was psychologically disturbing for multiple reasons. I got to watch Beowulf on the plane, but for the rest of the 1 hours stuck there, not much else. Dropped by in Vancouver to pick up my sister's boyfriend, then we headed down to Las Vegas. Checked in at Planet Hollywood.
Drove five hours to Grand Canyon the next day, and it so freaking cold there. Couldn't feel my hands. Or face. Really, it was really really cold. Like, very cold. Anyways, the big hole on the ground was a pretty sight. Drove back to las Vegas (five more hours in the car, oh joy) and passed by Hoover Dam the very next day.
That night four of us watched the shows STOMP OUT LOUD, a really nifty percussion show. It was good fun - turns out slamming garbage cans together can be amusing for an hour and a half. The sounds and rhythm were unbelievably addicting.
Days that followed were spent hopping from hotel to hotel. Mga iba, for fun lang, the others because we needed to check in on them (Caear's Palace, back to Planet Hollywood). Kind of a hassle, but good fun. Botanical gardens in the Bellagio and rivers in Venetian were cool.
I still want a Guns N' Roses shirt.
On some wednesday we went down to the MGM Grand to watch CIRQUE DU SOLEIL: KA, an awesome fire show with expert martial artist people. It was the first Cirque I got to watch. Lupit ng stage. Galing ng mga dudes. And I got a Cirque soundtrack, huzzah.
Our last day there, we went up the Eiffel Tower. Nice view. Unfortunately it wasn't the Paris one.
All that done, packed our stuff, said goodbye to some people, and flew to New York on Friday.
