My sister and my cousin and I watched this the other week in Shang, when I was supposed to be cramming in some projects. XD Usually I'm not into horror, but the title and the trailers were catchy, so meh.

The whole thing had an interesting concept and plotline. Who doesn't love vampires? Thing is, the first half hour of the movie was just dragging. Didn' know if i felt like sleeping already. When the vampires started popping up and speaking their cool language, things got interesting. The pace quickened, but even so, it kinda dragged on.

While the action scenes and the vampires were portrayed very well, the movie doesn't really do anything very new for its genre. In the end, it's just another rather well-made vampire movie. Some scenes are indeed scary, and the gory scenes are indeed gory... *shudder* ... but it's not an end-of-your-seat thriller, and it could have used a lot of retouching in places. Especially the hammy love story. Haaaaaaaammy.

If you're not a big fan of this type of movie, you're not missing much. If you are, it's definitely worth a look.
